Eucalyptus slat wall, skewed and curved paneling, credenzas, motorized servery doors, banquettes, doors, frames, executive desk, conference table with stained teak, primed base and highly complex feature stair.
Between coordinating curves and angles for paneling and cladding structural steel for a stair, complexity was the story at Dimensional Fund Advisors (DFA). Whenever there is complexity, highly detailed shop drawings and constant communication with the general contractor and other trades are a must.
Slanted curved paneling, essentially conical, is difficult to coordinate, draw, layout and can take two to three times longer to fabricate. Just when you think you have everything right, you find another alignment to perfect. At Dimensional Fund Advisors a special shimming system had to be devised to ensure Brochsteins paneling was properly secured to the existing curved drywall.
